Apple Picking with Alana

I went apple picking with my friend a few Wednesdays ago. We went to Honey Pot Farm in Stow. It was big fun. There were animals (chickens, goats, bunnies, and pigs) and pumpkins and lots of apples!!! Alana taught me how to eat a whole apple and I’ve been doing it ever since!! So fun!!

First Day Back at School

I’m not really in school at 19 months but that’s what we call my daycare around here. Sounds more professional. My school has been closed for over 2 weeks while the teachers got the classrooms ready for us to come back. Me and all my friends are moving to the big boy room, young toddler, next door. My new room has a kitchen play set and a real goldfish!!! How cool is that!?! A couple of my friends aren’t in my classroom anymore and one of my very best friends is only there on Friday but I have a few new friends! AND I was very excited to see my friend Katie is in my classroom this year too! We are friends from the mommies group and hang out “outside of school”. I’ll probably show her the ropes ‘round the place. I was so happy to be back, I didn’t even notice when Mommy said goodbye. I love school!!!

Happy Labor Day!!

I went to the Cape for the long weekend to stay with Mimi. Nana came with us and I got to see my cousins, Auntie Kelly, Uncle Scott, Chrissie and Uncle John. It was big fun! We went to the beach on Sunday and much to my surprise my good friend Will showed up! We had lots of fun playing in the sand. He has a Mimi too…different one than mine, she came to the beach with Will and his mommy and daddy!! Sunday night everyone had lobsters while Chase and I ate other stuff…we aren’t big enough for lobsters yet! But they sure look like fun to eat, maybe in a few years I’ll be a big boy and have my very own lobster to eat!! I got tired from all the action so Chase read books to me before bed. He is very good to me. Monday we went to the pool. More fun in the sun!!! I was trying to soak it up because mommy says the sun goes away after Labor Day. I was sad to hear that because I like the sun!! Thanks Mimi for a big fun weekend at the cape!!

Grandma and Grandpa Visit - Martha's Vineyard

Since my school has been closed for two weeks, Grandma and Grandpa came from Ohio to visit with me. It has been a bit chaotic. Mommy left on a business trip to Mexico for 3 days. I got to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa. We played, went to the park, the pool, etc… When mommy got back from her trip we all went to Martha’s Vineyard for the day(Grandma, Grandpa, Mommy, Daddy, Papa and Me!). I was a trooper. We left the house at 830am and didn’t get home until 1030pm. You have to take a ferry to get there and because of me…I’m a logistical nightmare sometime …we took papa’s car too. Papa showed us around the island, we had lunch in Edgartown, went through the house Papa is building, say Gay Head, and had ice cream in Oak Bluffs. It was big fun. I think I enjoyed the ferry ride the most of all!!!

Milestone Moment!

I am not sure if it was the excitement of the trip, having Grandma and Grandpa there or the ocean air but while we were having a nice lunch at a seafood restaurant in Martha’s Vineyard I had a Milestone Moment. They served my milk in a nice plastic cup and straw. Until now, Mommy has been bringing an extra sippy to transfer milk. I tired to drink out of the straw and this time it clicked and I got it!! I was so thrilled with myself that I had to get a refill on my milk cup. Yeepie!!!

Last Day of School

My last day of daycare was 2 Friday's ago. My school is closed for two weeks as they prepare the NEW classroom for me and all my friends to move to the toddler room after Labor Day. I am very excited to be in the big boy room but even more excited that all my friends will be moving with me. This room is bigger and even has a class goldfish!!! We sleep on mats which will be a big change for me since I'm used to my nice crib in the infant room but we're told everyone adjusts. one of my teachers is moving up with us. I can't wait to go back. This year is going to be big fun!!

Cape Cod Weekend - Falmouth Road Race!

I FINALLY went to the cape this weekend to spend some time with my Mimi and all the “people”. We had fun going to the beach on Saturday. Sunday Daddy, Auntie Kelly, Uncle Scott and Mimi did the road race. I stayed back because Mommy had to work :( But I had fun playing with Nana. I got to play with my cousins. They are fun stuff! I must have looked like I was having so much fun because Daddy said he would take me back down this coming weekend (while Mommy does girls weekend in NYC). Yeah for Cape Cod!!

I’m going to be the big brother!!

In case you haven’t heard (shame on my parents for not spreading the word) I am going to be the big brother!!! I’m being told this is a big responsibility but I think I’m up for the challenge. We also just found out my little sibling is a little SISTER!! I am very excited. I don’t know exactly when she is coming or how she is getting here but when I get more information I’ll be sure to let everyone know. Some of my friends at daycare have siblings. They tell me it’s a pretty cool thing. And my best friend at daycare is also having a sister soon so we can compare notes!

On an unrelated note, poor mommy was sick for a while and gets tired sometimes. She doesn’t workout the way she used to. I can tell too, she has a belly now and has to wear bigger clothes. I hope mommy gets back into shape before my sister comes or she will have a hard time chasing us both around!!!

“Bucket on the Head”

Check out my favorite accessory to every outfit...

Beach Bum!

I’ve been spending my July on the beach if you couldn’t tell. Mom, Dad and I have been exploring the beaches on the North Shore, since we aren’t able to get to the Cape nearly as much as we’d like this summer. I went to Long Beach in Rockport with my friend Will and his family a few weeks back. We had big fun. He likes playing in the sand. I was more about walking around all over the place. Yesterday, we went to Cranes Beach in Ipswich. It was bigger and shallow way out so I could get my tootsies wet without making too much of a commitment to go “in”. Daddy found some crabs (live ones!) for me and we watches as they scurried away after daddy put them down. I’ve managed to acquire quite the tan this summer, despite my 50+ sunscreen!!!
