Christmas Parties -

What is the best part of the holidays? THE PARTIES!! We partied with some friends this past weekend. Luke's friends from "way back". The kids loved it, of course. We got the usual couch picture, etc. We all said goodbye to Katie, for a while anyway. Her family is moving to Zurich for 9 months. BUT, she'll be back just in time for Storyland next year..yeah!

Christmas Questions -

Luke is really into Christmas this year. He has been asking a ton of questions as he figures it all out. Some of the best include:
1) Will Santa burn when he comes down the chimney?
2) Will he know how to open the door (the fireplace glass)?
3) Will Santa fall off the roof?
4) Can we come down the chimney too (oh gosh!!)?
5) Does Santa have a bed in his sleigh?
6) Are those guys (pointing to the three wise men) Jesus' friends?
7) Why does Jesus live in a barn?
8) Why is Jesus' crib so small? He needs one like Paigey has.

Santa???

This past weekend, we went to downtown New Bedford for the Christmas Tree lighting. We told the kids that Santa would be making an appearance. As we waited for the festivities to begin, Paige yells "SANTA" and points ahead.

Jay and I were dying...She thought this lady was Santa. I had to take a picture. Not too far off the mark, eh?

SAINT NICK'S DAY!!

The kids loved checking out their stockings after St Nicks day!! They didn't understand why they were getting stocking stuffer gifts, although I did try to explain St Nick's day to Luke. They were very excited to see what they got!

Cutting down the tree -

We decided to cut our own tree down this year. It was a tradition I enjoyed as a kid. This was all new to Jay. Our friends told us of a great place in Westport, one town over. The kids loved it too. The first 2 trees that Luke picked out weren't actually Christmas trees but he got the hang of it after a while.
