Sox Game -

Today, we went to the Sox game as a family (minus Ali who stayed home with the sitter)
Jay was given some really great front row seats.  Between that and the outstanding weather, it made for a great day.  We didn't get a ball, although were close as the bat girl was right next to us.  Luke especially loved it since he is so into baseball this year.

Fun day in Boston -

We spent a fun day in Boston with our friends from Acton.  We met at the Common for a picnic lunch.  Then it was off to the swan boats, and a walk to Faneuil Hall for some ice cream. Fun day for one of our first nice weekends of the season.

The Yellow Dog turns 9 years old!!!

In honor of Marley’s 9th birthday, we speculate on what Marley could say if he could talk:

“I’m starving all the time, can you feed me more?”

“90% of the time you blame me for having gas it WASN’T ME PEOPLE!”

“Can we get one of those cool doggie doors I see on TV?”

“Why don’t you feed me more?”

“Please stop bringing those little people home from the hospital, they are loud and get in my personal space”

“Why do you save all my poops in plastic bags, what do you do with them all?”

“Would it kill you to take me on a walk now and again? I see plenty of owners walking their dogs every day”

“Can I eat the stuff you eat? It looks a lot better than the stuff you feed me?”

“That black haired lady that comes a lot puts me in the basement all day, I don’t particularly like that.”

“Why do you use that weird voice when you talk to me? And try to talk for me?  I’m never thinking the things you talk for me.”

"More food please!  I'm starving most of the day!!!"

"Please stop complaining about my dog hair.  I can't change the fact that I have fur that sheds.  If you wanted a non-shedding dog, you should have done your research and gotten one of those little ones with curly hair and bows in their ears."

Living Room Built-Ins

Our built-ins are FINALLY complete and we love them.  It totally finishes off the space and so nice to have the TV centered in the space.

Ali: 18 Months!!

Ali is officially a toddler.  I know this because when she went for her 18 month check-up today she got to use the big girl scale AND she got a sticker after her shot.  Very grown up.

She is 23.4lbs and about 60% for height and weight.  Although above average relative to the general population, she is the smallest of the Peabody kids.

She's talking...kind of.....Ali is starting to talk.  She can say Mommy and uh oh.  She is starting to expand her vocabulary.  Although the everyday person off the street could not make out what she is saying, we hear it.  She says:
cheese
1 - 2 -3
twinkle twinkle
Marley

That said, she is still behind her 18 month old peers (so we are told).  So Miss Ali will start early intervention to strengthen her vocab over the next year.  Now, if only the other two let her get a word in....

Best Friend - still Marley
Dislikes - bibs, basically won't wear one anymore so we go through lots of shirts a day.  Also dislikes being inside when her older and more independent siblings are outside playing.  She walks over with her shoes and shoves them in my face as a subtle hint.
Likes - baths, playing with the kids, long walks in the stroller and now that the weather is warm she loves going to the pool and splashing in the baby pool. Likes dancing to any music even if on a commercial.
