Are you ready for some football...

We are getting ready for football season in a big way.  Pre-season games are on.  The Buckeyes season starts next weekend....game on!

Plymouth Plantation

What better to do on one of the last great beach days of the year...go to Plymouth Plantation of course! J/K We did have great weather. Sunny and breezy. The kids got a kick out of the period dressed Pilgrims and Indians - I mean Native Americans. After the plantation, we went to downtown Plymouth for a waterfront festival. It was big so we meandered our way through to the Mayflower II. Kids were hungry and tired. Not a good combination. Long story short...we made a mad dash out of there. We had overstayed our welcome. Dinner on the way home at the Waterfront Grille made for a nice day!

Timberman - Ironman 70.3

Today, Jay raced in his first half Ironman Triathlon.  He did awesome!  Finished in 5:47 and change.  It was on Lake Winnipesaukee so we were able to combine the weekend with a visit to Papa's farm.  Ron watched with us which was key since he knew his way around these parts and I'm not sure I'd want to do it alone with both kids all day.  They did great but a lot of waiting at times.

Waiting to see daddy for the first time on the bike -

We have our signs all ready to go -
 GO DADDY GO -
After seeing daddy twice on the bike, we headed to breakfast.  Had to kill a few hours but we did feel a bit guilty eating while Jay was still out there working away.  Finally we made it to a good spot where we were able to see him on the run twice.
Then we headed to the finish.
Waiting for daddy to come through -
Here he comes (ignore Paige's pink bunny that she held out for daddy) -
There he goes - one in the books!

NH Favorite Activities -

We were able to do some of our favorite things when up in NH.  Like...

Play in Papa's pond -
Have a campfire and roast marshmallows -
Look for and try to catch frogs -
 More roasting and eating -
 Sugar high kicking in -
Time for a proper dinner.  Paige helped with the salad -
 Swimming in Lake Winnipesaukee -

Cape Sleepover -

We have friends that live on the cape so we squeezed in an overnight last night.  Mommy, being rundown at work, decided to take a day off work and decompress.  It was a lot of fun.  Luke and Paige had a blast.  They were so excited to have a sleepover with their two little friends.

View from the deck in the back.  It was really breathtaking!
I didn't want to leave this deck!
But...Off to the yacht club for some beach fun -

Craft Time!

We got bored one rainy Wednesday and decided to head over to AC Moore for some crafts.  They each got to pick out their own containers and craft items.  Lots of fun.  Mom is hoping this will occupy them hours and hours worth of time.

Fun Boat/Beach Day!

We went out on the boat with our friends this past weekend.  The kids LOVE this, it is one of their favorite summertime activities.  It helps that they are bestest friends with the kids.  No pictures but the kids also went tubing.  Every year, Luke gets a little more brave on the tube.

Fenway!!

Jay and I escaped on a Sunday morning for an all day date.  Through a silent auction, we won VIP tour of the stadium, trip to the field before the game and tickets to the game.  Lots of fun.  Very hot but lucky for us, we were in the shade.
