Thanksgiving –

On Thanksgiving Day, we went to Cincinnati to spend the rest of the week. The best part about Cincinnati was staying in the hotel. I got to stay in my own BIG BIG bed. I was lovin’ it.

We went to Grandpa’s side of the family. Everyone got to meet Paige and I got to play with the “big kids”

The Saturday after Thanksgiving, we went to downtown Cincinnati to see the Christmas decorations and the trains. Mommy used to do the same thing every year as a kid. We went with my little friend Maria and her sister, Cara.

After all that we were lucky enough to find an ice skating rink in the middle of the city square area. Santa was there too! Daddy was REAL excited to get me on skates for the first time. It was big fun skating with Mommy and Daddy. Daddy said I did real good! I can’t wait to skate again soon!

Trip to Ohio

We spent the week before Thanksgiving in Columbus with Grandma and Grandpa. It was big fun. I think they have more toys then I do at home!! I played toys inside and out all day every day! Paige was lovin’ the toys this trip too!

We also made muffins and cookies, went to the pond to feed the duckies, went to the playground, read books, raked leaves, visited with Uncle Dave, the list goes on!

Hershey…here we come!!

We went on a road trip for Thanksgiving. We drove to Ohio to visit Grandma and Grandpa. It is a long time in the car to get to their house…at least that is what mommy and daddy said. Seems like I would fall asleep and wake up and we were there! On the way there we stopped in Hershey to visit my good friend Cooper and his family. I hadn’t seen him since our trip there in May but we picked up right where we left off. He is big fun to hang out with. Paigey even has a friend her own size. Cooper’s brother, Brandt, is only 6 weeks younger than her. Works out perfect!!

The 4 amigos –

We went to Chocolate World too! They have a whole big huge house made all out of candy. I wanted to eat it! Santa was there too!!! I sat on his lap with Paige and told him what I want for Christmas – “cars”

Where The Wild Things Are...

In late 2007, we had problems with “our little wild man” destroying things around the house…

Jump ahead 2 years. While Marley has settled down, looks like we have a whole new generation of “wild things” around the house…

Hi Ronald!

Luke has really been into middle names lately. He loves to ask what everyone’s middle name is then proceeds to call everyone by that name. He often says “Mommy, what is Alyson doing?” OR when daddy comes home from work “Hi Ronald. Mommy, Ronald is home!” He is a piece of work!! And he has given all his stuffed animals middle names. Coincidently, all are “Ryder”

Marley and Me...

Marley is soooo good with the kids. He LOVES to be right there...baths…bedtime…feeding (especially feeding time!) he is always right there. Sometimes he is TOO much right there. Being 95lbs and having no social awareness, he often gets in the way. But we love him all the same :)

Halloween Hangover/ Dinner with Friends...

Someone had a hard time accepting the fact that Halloween was O-V-E-R. Luke kept asking to put the Halloween decorations back out and insisted on wearing his costume for days after. Any time we would mention someone, he would said “what are they being for Halloween Mommy?” I had to sit down with him and have the hard talk “Halloween is over honey, until next year” After a week or so the Halloween talk subsided.

At dinner one night this week, Luke INSISTED on having his bunny and bear eat too. So I humored him and put them at the table.

This was not good enough. They had to have napkins, Luke spread out just so. AND apparently they have dietary restrictions because Luke said “no mommy, they don’t eat Cheerios, they eat bananas” Well excusessssss me. So cute :)

Conversation with an almost 3 year old….

Mommy: “Luke, you have to start thinking about what you want for Christmas”
Luke: “Christmas?”
Mommy: “Yeah buddy, remember, we put up Christmas decorations and a Christmas tree and if you are a good boy, Santa comes and brings you presents”
Luke: “and reindeer and snowman decorations”
Mommy” Yes buddy, that’s right! So what do you think you would want Santa to bring you this year”
Luke “Pancakes”
Mommy: “You want Pancakes?”
Luke: “yeah”
Mommy: “Ok, we’ll see what we can do about that, what else would you want, what toys”
Luke: “pancakes”
Mommy: “Yes, honey, we’ll tell him to bring you pancakes but he also brings toys. What toys do you want?”
Luke: (playing with a orange matchbox car) “I want Santa to bring me an orange car”
Mommy: (Getting nowhere, hands Luke a toy catalog) “Look at the toys in here, what do you think you would want Santa to bring you”
Luke: (looks for a while and finally points to something) “I want this one Mommy”
Mommy: (Excited that they are finally getting somewhere here, looks at what he picked) “Oh, buddy, you already have that train table, remember Santa brought it for you last year”
Luke: (Very excited and proud of himself for picking it out!) “YEAH MOMMY!”
