I’m going to be the big brother!!

In case you haven’t heard (shame on my parents for not spreading the word) I am going to be the big brother!!! I’m being told this is a big responsibility but I think I’m up for the challenge. We also just found out my little sibling is a little SISTER!! I am very excited. I don’t know exactly when she is coming or how she is getting here but when I get more information I’ll be sure to let everyone know. Some of my friends at daycare have siblings. They tell me it’s a pretty cool thing. And my best friend at daycare is also having a sister soon so we can compare notes!

On an unrelated note, poor mommy was sick for a while and gets tired sometimes. She doesn’t workout the way she used to. I can tell too, she has a belly now and has to wear bigger clothes. I hope mommy gets back into shape before my sister comes or she will have a hard time chasing us both around!!!

“Bucket on the Head”

Check out my favorite accessory to every outfit...

Beach Bum!

I’ve been spending my July on the beach if you couldn’t tell. Mom, Dad and I have been exploring the beaches on the North Shore, since we aren’t able to get to the Cape nearly as much as we’d like this summer. I went to Long Beach in Rockport with my friend Will and his family a few weeks back. We had big fun. He likes playing in the sand. I was more about walking around all over the place. Yesterday, we went to Cranes Beach in Ipswich. It was bigger and shallow way out so I could get my tootsies wet without making too much of a commitment to go “in”. Daddy found some crabs (live ones!) for me and we watches as they scurried away after daddy put them down. I’ve managed to acquire quite the tan this summer, despite my 50+ sunscreen!!!

My Trip to the Green Monster!!!

Mom and Dad took me to my first Red Sox game today!!! YEAH!! Finally I got to see first hand what all the fuss is about. It was big fun!!! When we sat down, it took me about 20 minutes to sit and stare before I could even react. I was overwhelmed by all the people, sights, and sounds. A few innings in however, I was making friends with the neighbors, dancing to the music when the players went up for bat and clapping on cue. That place is nuts. My favorite thing might have been the big flags waving overhead. I REALLY liked looking and pointing at them. I am still confused by one thing, where was this big green monster Mom and Dad kept talking up. They pointed and said "look there is the green monster". All I saw was a big wall...sigh, who knows!! But, the best part of the whole thing was that the Sox won 18-5….WOO HOOO…GO SOX!!!

My July 4th Weekend!

Mom and Dad decided we were going to stay back from the cape this year and “hang with the locals” for the long weekend. The weather left much to be desired but we made the most of it. My new friend’s Matt and Alescia came to visit from CT. I got to go to Matt’s bike race. I went to my friend Jackson’s house for a BBQ on the 4th. Papa made a nice pasta bake for dinner Saturday night. Sunday the weather FINALLY started to turn so we went to Quail Ridge for some poolside fun! Not a bad weekend for a local yocal!!

Summer is here!!!

I went to the cape for the first time this year last weekend. Daddy had a triathlon race on Saturday morning. I wanted to watch but it was real early in the morning and would have cut significantly into my sleeping time…can’t have that! So Mom and I waited at the house. He came in first for his division for new timers and second for new timers overall!! Go Daddy!! Auntie Kelly did very well too, also placing for new timers. I hope I’m blessed with some of those Peabody athletic genes!!!

The rest of the weekend we hung out. I got to visit with uncle John and Chrissie and my cousins too!! Sunday we met Papa, Grampy, Uncle Bill and Marny for brunch to celebrate Father’s Day!! I made daddy a picture frame at school and we bought him an OSU bike shirt. Yeah for cape cod weekends!!!

HATS!!!

We are starting to notice that even though everyone may say Luke looks like a Wurtz it appears he has his daddy’s personality! He is very silly. Loves to walk around with the plastic bucket on his head, picking up toys and balancing them on top. Loves to put just about anything he can balance on his head. During dinner, he also loves to put food on his head and laughs!! Yes, there is certainly a lot of Peabody in this boy!!

I'm 2!!!

No not Luke…it’s me Marley!! I can post on the blog too!!! Mom and Dad keep saying “well we made it 2 years with him”. Not sure what that means but I think they are so proud of how much growing up I’ve done in the past year. I’m allowed out of my crate most of the time someone is home b/c I am no longer a “complete liability”. I still chew Luke’s toys, jump up and get food every chance I get and sometimes get a little crazy in the house but I’m maturing every day.

My friends from the neighborhood came over and we had doggie ice cream. Mom and Dad gave me a stuffed duck…the one from Target, my favorite!!! I’m going to try not to destroy this one for at least like two weeks or something.

Zoo Time

We spend the Mem Day at the Southwick Zoo this past Monday. It was big fun. I like the zoo. I got to see all the animals Mommy and Daddy point out in my books. There were Zebras, giraffes, elephants, camels, monkeys, you name it. AND I got to swing on the swings. AND I went to the petting zoo area and touched some goats and a turkey looking thing. AND I got to feed the deer in the deer park – daddy didn’t have 50 cents for the deer food so we used some of my snacks, apparently deer don’t like cut up pancakes too much, who knew!
