New Addition!!!

Don’t worry…we weren’t ignorant enough to get another dog BUT Marley and Ashley Joan now have a little cousin Parker (yet to be middle named) Minerella. It’s he a doll!!! Ashley was pretty much all set with him and just looked at me like “you have got to be kidding. If this one stays around TOO, I’m leaving!” Marley on the other hand couldn’t have been happier to have a new friend. Marley has never met a dog (or person) he doesn’t like. Parker is such a good boy. Welcome to the family!!!

Summer Fun!!

I went to a BBQ at my good friend Jackson’s house last weekend. Brought Mom and Dad along…ya know b/c I needed a driver. Jackson is only 8 days older than me but can sit on his own and has 2 teeth. Mom and Dad had to explain why I’m still toothless and laying on my belly. Yikes...I'm already behind :)

My summer has been so busy I haven’t had a lot of time to write my updates. Things are going well. I’m happy to report that I’m now able to sit on my own…I’m getting to be such a big boy! I’m also showing signs of crawling although I think I’m a while from actually getting anywhere. No teeth yet but I drool like crazy. Mom and Dad think they will come soon. Me too, I’m tired of them sticking their fingers in my mouth!!

I’ve become quite the pool boy this month (although Mom puts this 50+ sun block on me so you wouldn’t know it – I’m still a good pasty white color). Love the water!! Mom wants to get me in some baby swim lessons this fall. Me too! I’ll be diving in the deep end in no time 

I'm 1/2 a year old today!!!!

We can’t believe it, little Luke is 6 months old. How time files. Lots going on for baby Luke. He had his checkup and is growing like a weed. 19lbs 4oz. (75 percentile) and 29” long (95 percentile). He is officially starting all his solids. We’ve worked our way through cereals and fruits….starting veggies and meats and some fun finger foods soon! We’ve introduced the sippy cup. He doesn’t know what to do with it but we’ll keep trying. This weekend he will be transitioning from his infant carrier to his big boy convertible car seat. Lots of changes….Such a BIG BOY!!!

Beach Baby....

Last weekend I went to the cape to visit Mimi. I had lots of fun!! We went to the beach with cousin Madison and Chase on Saturday. I tested the waters a bit but quickly decided I’m not a ocean kind of guy…not this year anyway. However, I did enjoy lounging/napping on the beach for the remainder of the afternoon.

Sunday I thought I’d try the pool out for size instead. I met my friend Will there. We had fun. He showed me how fun playing in the water can be!! I think I’m really going to like this swimming thing.

I had my first photo shoot a few weeks ago. I was all smiles in the beginning but just to keep things interesting I started to get crabby half way through, refusing to play on my belly, fun stuff like that. Doing Time In Ohio – July 4th

This past weekend was my first trip to Ohio to visit Grandma, Grandpa and all my Ohio relatives AND my first time on a plane. I was a good boy on both my flights. Flying makes me sleepy. Ohio was fun. The people in Ohio have lots of parties. I was at 2 parties in 2 days. I was all pooped out by day 3. I got lots of toys and gifts from my new friends. I also got to meet my cousin Maria. She is a lot older than me but the only one around close to my size. I think I’ll go back to Ohio to get spoiled again soon!!!

UPDATE - I'M EATING SOLIDS NOW!!!

Luke wanted everyone to know that he has finally caved in! After 3+ weeks of daily refusing his cereals and fruit, Master Luke smartened up and decided to start eating his food. It was quite a battle but we are now at 2 feedings a day. He gobbles down all his food and actually smiles through mealtime....a place I never thought we would get! Congrats Luke!!!

Guess who turned the big 0-5 (months that is)!!!

I’m 5 months old today!!! Lots going on for me. My favorite teacher at school, Cara, left to stay home with her daughter. I’m pretty bummed about it. She was very nice to me.

Other goings on - I started formula which I’m doing fine with. I didn’t want to take my bottle at first but after a pep talk with Mom and Dad, I’m on board!!

I am still not wild about these cereals Mom keeps trying to feed me. I'm doing a pretty good job of spitting out everything she shovels in but it gets old after a while. I’m hoping she gets the hint soon b/c I’d just assume stay on milk for a few years or so. Why rush things?

Daddy's Day

Dad and I had a great weekend together! We took a walk in Cambridge with Mom and Marley on Saturday. Lucky for us there was the Charles River Festival going on so we got to walk around and people watch. I wanted to get an ice cream or maybe a hot dog but dad left his wallet in the car…bummer! Marley was a good boy, given the mass amounts of people to tempt him  Dad said that if I’m lucky maybe I’ll go to college in Cambridge. That would suit me just fine. Maybe then I could get all the hot dogs and ice creams I want!!! Sunday Dad got the “Kitchen Pass” as Mom calls it to play golf in the morning. We went to Papa’s for a BBQ in the afternoon. I got Dad some nice running shirts, a card and made him a tie bookmark at daycare. Marley got him gummie bears (that were already in the pantry, cheap dog!) All in All it was a great first Father’s Day mostly because I have the best dad a guy could ask for!!!!
