Conversation with a 2.5 year old


Daddy: “Hey buddy. How was your day?”
Luke: “Good daddy, where you go today daddy?”
Daddy: “I was at work. Do you know why daddy goes to work?”
Luke: “No daddy”
Daddy: “Daddy goes to work to make money. Do you know why we need money, to buy things. Do you know what kind of things you can buy with money?”
Luke: “Ice cream”
Daddy: “Yes, we can buy ice cream and other things, what other things can we buy?”
Luke: “Vanilla ice cream”
Daddy: “Yes, we can buy vanilla ice cream and other things, what other things can we buy?”
Luke: “cheerios”
Daddy: “Yes, we can buy cheerios and ice cream and other things, bigger things like clothes and the ability for you to go to school”
Luke: “ and we can buy a big Vanilla ice cream, a huge one daddy”
Daddy: “Yes, honey, I work so you can buy a huge vanilla ice cream”
