Halloween!

We had a nice halloween this year.  It was on a weekend and the weather was nice and warm.  Luke was an army man (again - 3rd year!), Paige was a 50's girl and Ali was an Ohio State cheerleader.

Luke's tradition of making his pumpkin throwing up.  Trick R Treaters always love this one.

Paige teaching Ali the art of scooping.  They opted for a traditional Jack O Lantern -

Our 50's girl had to have pink hair too, but it got itchy and didn't last long -

Our sweet little cheerleader.  This might be the closest I get to one of the kids becoming a Buckeye -

Who's that with the black hair?

Of course we had to sort and trade candy when we got home -

Ali went to a Halloween party the Friday before. She got a few little treats, made a craft and had some time to play -

Ali'isms

1) When one of the kids is upset and crying, Ali starts to sing the ABC song.  Paige noticed this first and she is right.  She maybe does to it diffuse the situation because that is her favorite song to sing.

2) When Ali comes across a toy that doesn't work or is something that she thinks should light up or play a tune, she hands it to me and yells "BATTERIES", which comes out like "BAAAEEEEE"

3) Ali has her favorite books to read.  One book has a little poem on the last page and a picture of a little kid on the opposite page.  Apparently the illustrator didn't do a great job because Ali always points to the boy and yells "MONKEY!!"  Now when I say the poem for her without the book, she still yells "MONKEY!"

Paige's teacher sent this to me. It is Paige reading in French...

Paige's Schoolwork

Paige is having a great start to 1st grade.  They are transitioning to only speaking French in the classroom and by the end of October the entire day will be French only.  No English allowed, even when speaking to each other.  There are a few exceptions, they can speak English during their specials (art, music, gym, etc.) and during lunch/recess.
Last week they started their weekly show and tell in French.  She seems to still love it!

What I did over the weeked By: Ali Peabody

Since my family made the decision to leave me behind (no hard feeling) and not bring me to Loiusville, I decided to have MORE fun than them.  I had a 4 night sleepover with Angie and Joe (and Jax) and we had lots of fun -

I still supported my dad's race with my race day Tshirt -

Saying goodbye to L and P -
Goodbye Marley, see you in a few days!
First stop, underwear shopping.  Angie thinks I'm ready for the potty, I disagree!
The library, love this place -
DD with a sweet blowup and some nice donuts -
More shopping, finally found some undies and some tights -
And Angie bought me an ELMO!!!
I ate REALLY well, Elmo even got to eat with me -
 And slept with me -
I was very excited for Elmo -
The Dartmouth Mall for some playing -
 and a sweet treat -
I did lots of eating -
 and looking cute -
We took a trip to the farm -

 Pumpkin picking!

Did I mention that Angie bought me slippers too!
I hung out with Jax a lot.  He is cute, fuzzy and just my size.
Lots of resting.  Without my sister and brother around, I was actually able to relax and sleep in -
As you can see, my weekend beat theirs by a long shot!
