Thanksmas in NH

We headed to NH on Saturday to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas with Papa.  They got a bit of snow before we arrived which the kids loved to play in.  They also loved having a sleepover with Madison and Chase.  Lots of pics from opening gifts and doing chores around the farm.  The kids also love hanging out with the growing number of farm animals.

Luke's Thanksgiving Feast at School -

I was lucky enough to volunteer in Luke's class for their Thanksgiving feast.  It was cute watching Luke in his school element and getting to know his teacher a bit more.  He has a great class this year and has made some nice little friendships with a group of the boys in class.

Ali - One Year Old!!!

Can't believe Ali girl is a whole year old!  Here are her one year stats:
Weight: 20.11lbs - 62%
Height: 30 inches - 75%
Head: 18 - 71%

When Ali went in for her wellness visit the Dr. was genially baffled at the fact that our little lady still has NO teeth.  I don't think this is something she sees everyday.  I was quick to point out that the she does FINALLY have one cutting through her gum.  The Dr. did confirm this and said that she was going to refer me to a dentist but since it appears she is getting them we will wait.  What can I say, the Peabody kids get their teeth late!!

Not walking yet but cruising around furniture and can stand unassisted.  She found the stairs and has started to try to climb them which isn't great.  She has also started getting into the cabinets, another activity that mom does not love!

She is talking up a storm and starting to attach words to people and things.

We love our cuddly, lovable Ali!!!

Saints

Luke came home from a CCD mass last night and this was the conversation at dinner:

Luke: Mom, who decides if someone becomes a saint.

Mom: (I did my best to explain)

Luke: Well Mrs. Burke is a saint.

Mom: Your teacher? I don’t think so buddy.  Why do you think that?

Luke: Daddy said it this weekend.  He said that she was a saint.
Mom: Oh no buddy, he was kind of kidding, like a figure of speech.
Luke: No mom, he said it.  He said she was a saint.

Earlier conversation:

Daddy: Mrs. Burke is a saint to put up with a classroom full of second graders all day, every day.

Something about Ali....

Angie put Ali's hair up yesterday.  Today, Ali woke up looking like this.

I couldn't help thinking she could have been a hair double for Cameron Diaz in Something about Mary.
