Ali 7 months!!!

7 Months.  And who says the third gets any less attention.  We love taking pictures of our little Ali.  She is rolling like crazy, starting to sleep on her belly b/c she can't be bothered to flip back over.  She isn't sitting up unsupported just yet but is very close.  She is getting used to her solids.  LOVES the cereals and fruit.  Not diggin' on the green veggies, she does love Angie's kale soup puree!  No teeth yet...we are still waiting.

SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER!!!!

As Luke would say, "FINALLY!!"  The kids are really looking forward to the summer in their new neighbhood.  We kick off the summer with a trip to Ohio.  We have some camps planned in July.  Hopefully will make it to the cape and NH a few times and other than that just looking forward to a nice relaxing summer!
Luke loved taking the bus.  So many kids and the stop is only K-2.

Last day of school -

Luke had a friend over the other day.  Paige quickly sprung into "little sister" mode.  She first put on a bikini and sunned herself (inside) on a beach towel.  Once she realized she wasn't getting noticed, she went back upstairs and changed into her Daisy Duke outfit.

She is a real piece of work.  Poor Luke, wait until high school when he brings his friends around.  Paige will be all over that....

Tooth Fairy -

FINALLY...Luke lost his first tooth. We have been waiting for that sucker for a while now.  It was about 10 minutes of drama before Luke pulled it out himself.

He then packaged it up in Paige's Tooth Fairy pillow and wrote the Tooth Fairy a note.  He was a little freaked out about having the Tooth Fairy in the house and in his room so he decided to leave the note and his tooth on the stairs.  He also tried to convince us that the Tooth Fairy was not real, that it was really the parents.  Is this the last year for Santa?? I hope not!
We aren't too surprised Luke hung onto his teeth for so long.  He didn't have a tooth in his head at his first birthday.  Our little toothless birthday boy!

Ballet

Paige's last class of ballet was this past weekend.  Luke came with me because the families got to "peek" inside the classroom at what they have been learning all year.

Paige loves ballet but announced that she is moving on.  Next fall she will play soccer again and try gymnastics.

Happy Father's Day Daddy!!

Luke made a breakfast for everyone for Father's Day -
Paige also wanted to do something for Daddy.  She planned breakfast in bed. Had to make is coffee -

A slice of banana bread, cheese stick, banana and some raisins (on a footstool).  What could be better?
Lots of cards and pictures for Daddy  -

Hello Morning!

I woke up really early this morning to get some work done.  I was sitting at the kitchen table on my computer when Luke walked down.  He sat down in the chair, threw the blanket over his head and just sat....and sat....and sat.  I guess everyone steps into the day differently.  This is Luke's way of easing into the morning.  He is usually the first one up. I wonder if this is a ritual.

Nail Lady:

Paige and I were playing "nail salon" today.  This is one of her favorite things to play.  It takes her 20 minutes to set up all her makeup and nail polishes, cotton balls and the works.  She does my makeup and nails and sometime hair too.  The best part about it is that when she starts, she quickly goes into character and becomes "the nail lady", a different person every time.  This was the conversation this morning:

Nail lady: I have five kids you know.
Mom: Oh really! Wow, that's a lot.  What are their names?
Nail lady: Buttons, Cottonball, Jake, Elizabeth & Jenny.
Mom: Interesting names.  Where are all your kids?
Nail lady: Well, Jake is in high school so he is there and Jenny is a boy, he is at daycare and the other three are home with their dad.
Mom: Jenny is an interesting name for a boy.
Nail lady: Well yes, I think so!
Mom: That's nice of your husband to stay home with the kids.
Nail lady: Yeah, he watches the kids so I can do this (sweeping hand motion).
Mom: Oh, that's good.  How did you learn how to do nails?
Nail lady: I went to school for like 59 days or years or something.
Mom: That's a long time.
Nail lady: Yeah, it is really hard school but I was really good at it.  Everyone told me I should be a scientist because I was so good but yeah, this is hard too.
Mom: I'm sure it is hard.  How old are you?
Nail lady: I'm 16.
Mom: 16 and you have 5 kids???
Nail lady: Well yeah, it's crazy!  But my husband is 30 so that is good.
Mom: I guess so, aren't you young to have a 30 year old husband.
Nail lady: I don't know but he watches the kids so that is really good.

"Would you like fries with that order?"

Luke came running into the house the other day, dead serious, and said, "Mommy!  I can hit as fast as Big Papi!!  No really, I can! My hits are as hard as his".

I said, "If that is true then you might as well skip college and go straight to the majors."

The response was, "NO, Mom, I can't do that because then I will have to work at McDonald's.  Daddy said that if you don't go to college you have to work at McDonald's and then I won't have time to play baseball".

Very true Luke...very true!

Paige Graduated - from Pre-K!

Today, Paige graduated from Holliston Christian Preschool.  Despite starting halfway through the year, she did great at school and absolutely loved it.  A couple of the teachers came up to us a graduation and told us what a sweet little girl Paige is and a joy to have in class.  We will miss this school (until 2016 when Ali girl starts) but for now are onward and upward to Kindergarten in the fall...YIKES!

All ready for her last day!
Walking out (and loving it!) -
