Annual Children's Circle Art Show -

It is that time of year again, the annual Children's Circle Art Show.  The main event is adults only but we were able to take the girls for a sneak peek at their work the afternoon before.  Paige was very excited to show me all her work.  It is amazing that among the 18 pictures of poinsettias, Paige could pick hers right out.  It is a cute event and the kids did some great works!

April Walk

The family got bundled up today and headed over to Gooseberry Island in Westport. It is one of our favorite spots.  Marley might like it the best.  It is beautiful over there. 

Breaking News and Lukeisms

Breaking News:
Luke's favorite animal is no longer the cheetah.  The cheetah is now second only to be surpassed by the very cool and tough alligator.  The timing couldn't be worse.  We have been talking up our trip to Ohio in a few weeks because Luke will FINALLY get too see a cheetah live and in person at the Cincinnati Zoo.

He said to me one day when we were in the kitchen getting ready for dinner, "Mommy, the refrigerator is like fall and the freezer is like winter."

He saw a picture of Nicki Minaj on the TV and said, "Mommy, she is pretend, right?"

EASTER!!

 Easter morning, the Easter Bunny was so good not to leave much candy but the kids did love their sugar cereal -

 Checking things out.  Luke declared "I like the Easter Bunny more than Santa!"  Geeze, love the one your with, right? I'm sure he will be singin' a different tune come December-

 This year we headed to John and Chrissie's in Plymouth. 

We did manage to get a couple of pics of the kids in their Sunday's best.  Not before Luke ruined his pants by tearing the knee.  Brand new and was supposed to wear to Anne's wedding.  Back to Gap we go!  Also, excuse Luke's shiner.  He fell off the slide at school.  Ripped pants and a shiner, would we expect anything less :)

Easter Prep -

We have been very busy getting ready for the grand bunny's arrival.  Lots of Easter prep!

 We were not done yet, after party #1, we went to Nana's for more Easter festivities.  Not a lot of kids = more balloon animals and many many eggs for the egg hunt -

For Paige's Easter party at school, she and I made Rice Krispie Easter egg treats -

Just when we thought we couldn't have any more Easter fun, we went to our friend's house for a great big good old Easter party/egg hunt/farm animal petting/pizza and cupcake eating/running around fun time.

There were a million eggs and half a million kids -

Just some animals in line for a drink -

Luke and I saw a picture of the Coliseum in a magazine when we were waiting to get our hair cut.  I explained a little about it and why they built it.  Luke came home and built his own Coliseum.  He had a road for the animals to come in, get checked in and then go into the arena.  There was also a spot for the people to sit and watch, the animal holding area (we were careful not to mix animals that didn't get along), and of course a road for the animals to walk back to their holding areas.  Luke builds things like this all the time, just happened to snap a pic of this one.

Science Fair - Kindergarten Style

This week was the kindergarten science fair at St. Phils.  Each little student got an assignment and had a week to work on their experiment.  They created a backboard, just like a "real" science fair.  Luke's was fresh water vs. salt water, the density of water.  His experiment was to drop an egg in each fresh and salt water to see if one floated. He kept adding salt until the egg floated.

On Tuesday, they were able to showcase their experiments for the parents and the other grades, or as Luke would say "the BIG kids".
