Double Hat Day

Another favorite game, on one particular day anyway, is to wear two hats and walk around the house. This may not sound like much fun but for Luke and Paige it was a complete crack up! They LOVED this game...couldn't get enough of it. Who needs the 345 toys they have laying around the house...

Beach Day with Anne

Anne came down last weekend for a beach day!! We had lots of fun, despite the pictures of us all bundled up in our towels, it was a GREAT beach day. We spend a lot of time in the water!

"Bye Bye Mommy"

Paige's latest game to play is to grab a bag (or anything that resembles a purse/bag) and say (scream/loudly), "BYE BYE MOMMY" and walk around the house. She thinks she is SO funny doing this. Luke has also caught on!

Shower Room -

Tonight, Luke came into our bedroom after I put him to bed.
Luke - "Mommy, I have to go potty"
Mommy -"OK buddy go in your bathroom"
Luke - "I want to use your potty mommy"
Mommy - "OK buddy, you can come in and use our bathroom"
Luke - "Why do you have a potty in your bedroom? That's silly?"
Mommy -"It's not really in our bedroom buddy. It is in our bathroom"
Luke - "NO MOMMY. You don't have a bath in here. You have a shower in here. This isn't a bathroom. It is a shower-room"
Mommy -"You're right buddy, there is a shower in here, not a bath"
Luke - "You accidently said bathroom instead of shower-room. Mine is a bathroom because it has a bath. I will show you mommy"

He proceeded to take me to his bathroom and show me the bath.

Mommy - "Yes buddy, I see. Thank you."

Luke - "Your welcome mommy!"

Rain Day -

Just enjoying a rainy day at the library..

Visit with Grandma and Grandpa -

We had a nice long visit with Grandma and Grandpa the past 2 weeks. We did lots of fun things while they were here. We played in the pool A LOT. It was very hot out so that was right up our (me and Paige) ally! We also kept cool with our daily (at least one) popcicle - hense the purple lips. We went to the park and on bike rides. We went to the farm and played a lot on our swings in the backyard. A great couple of weeks. Thanks for taking care of us Grandma and Grandpa!!

Nation Party

Mommy: “Luke, do you know what we celebrate today?”
Luke: “What Mommy?”
Mommy: “Today, we celebrate the birth of our nation. It is called 4th of July and everyone has parties to celebrate.”
Luke: “Is Jacob going to be at the nation?”
Mommy: “No buddy, he isn’t but nation is another word for our country, where we live. We have parties today to celebrate.”
Luke: “Who is going to be at the nation party? Is Chase and Madison going to be there?”
Mommy: “Yes, buddy. You are going to the cape and Chase and Madison are going to be there”
