Model

This morning, Jay was explaining to Luke the importance of being a good role model for Paige. Upon hearing this, Paige quickly chimes in, "I am going to be a model when I grow up". Jay says to her, "What do you have to do to be a model, Paige?" She looked at him and said, "I need to have the big boobies, daddy!"

Apple Picking -

Today,we went apple picking with our friends up north. The apple farms are much better up there - that has been our experience anyway. We missed daddy, he had to work an event. Despite the rain and mud, the kids had lots of fun..

There is a new playground right up the street from our house, by the library. Kids have been lovin' it lately...something new to do! (Luke does go too, just doesn't stop long enough for a picture)

Luke's Class

This is Luke's class.
After school today, I was asking Luke about the people in his class. He said "I met a new boy named Zackary. He is the one with the big body. Did you see him Mommy, he has a big body. His name is Zackary with the big body and he is my friend at school. Did you see him there? But maybe he doesn't have a big body. And maybe his name is not Zackary"

I was also asking if he plays with his friend Charlotte. We carpool with her, she was in Luke's class at Children's Circle School and we play with them outside of school. His response was:
"I sometimes play with Charlotte, but usually I don't play with her because sometimes I think she is someone else because all of the girls in my class wear the same dress."

Storyland 2011

This past weekend was the annual Storyland trip with the "five families". The kids were really looking forward to it. It was the first year that Luke really remembered the rides and got excited talking about which ones were his favorites. Paige talked a lot too and claims to remember but I think she is "me too'ing" after Luke's recollections.
We've stayed in different houses each year, this year we finally found our forever vacation house! It was beautiful and old and very very large - a must with 10 kids, 10 adults. This place was built in the 1860s as a summer house to a wealthy family from Europe. I didn't get a picture of the house (will next year) but did get a great view from the back porch. Also had a great yard for the kids to run run run run!!!
Storyland was great, as always. The weather was perfect and the place was not crowded at all. This year we ventured up to Cinderella's castle so Paige could meet her live and in person. Paige got a little shy when we got there but has been talking about her ever since and tells everyone she sees "I met Cinderella!!"

Favorite ride of the kids was the "Panda Express" as Luke called it. Looks like Daddy liked it too-
