Papa's Bear

Papa has a bear head hanging on the wall of his house. The first time Luke saw this, he freaked. They are now friends, Luke and the bear. Brownie, the bear, is one of the first things the kids run to go see when they get there. Randomly, Luke woke up today asking ALL kinds of questions about Brownie:
Why is he there?
Where are his legs?
How does he go to the bathroom?
Where is the rest of his body?
Why did he start to roar and his mouth is stuck open?
This is a pretty good example of the stage we are in right now. Questions, questions, questions...why, why, why?????
Sometimes, I think I'm going to be good and answer all the whys but you never win. The questions get more and more absurd and impossible to answer. The kids always win!
Lesson learned: Never try to beat them at their own game :)

My Daddy and I
Daddy and I are the best'est of friends. At least once during the weekend, we sneak out and do something fun, just the guys. Most of the time we end up running errands or dropping stuff off at the dump (which I love) but we always end up at a diner where I get my signature mickey mouse pancakes.
A couple weeks ago, dad took me to work with him on a Sunday. He had a few things to get done. I "worked" too in the big huge table in the conference room. I was such a good boy coloring at the table nice....

NYE -
We had a rockin' NEW YEARS EVE...not really but the kids did! We had "Jacob and Company" over for a little party. Some hats, blowers, and Chinese food and we had ourselves a good old fashioned NYE! Of course, Luke LOVED Jacob being here. They pretty much ran around like crazy men until they were too tired to stand. Then they sat and watched America's Funniest Home Videos and no one moved or talked for the last 30min because they were too tired. I think we need to schedule more playdates at 9pm :)
They were very cute running around with their party accessories!!

Top Gift -
After all was said and done...all the Santa gifts, all the gifts from grandparents and Great-Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Friends, you name it...I asked Luke to name his FAVORITE gift.
"LIZARD EGG" He quickly says.
This Lizard Egg, I got at Christmas Tree Shoppe, $2.99. Stocking Stuffer. You put the thing in water and a toy lizard comes out.
Goes to show...you just never can tell....

Christmas in NH -
Christmas night, we headed north to stay on "Papa's farm" in NH. It was all good until the storm hit. First, we got dumped on with about a foot of snow, which was OK because we were warmly inside with the fire watching how beautiful it all was outside BUT also wondering if we would ever make it home. THEN, Jay got sick. Jay got better and I got sick. UGH! But we made the most of it. Most important is that the kids didn't get sick up there and they had a great time. They always love seeing the horses and just the overall excitement of staying away from home.

Christmas Day!
Christmas Morning -
Santa was VERY good to us this year. Lots and lots of goodies when we woke up. Luke was so good. He woke up around 6:45 and after peeking downstairs, came running in to tell us that Santa did in fact come! We managed to keep him upstairs until 7:30. Luke and Mommy went down so he could open his stocking while we waited for Daddy and Paige to get up. They loved their gifts. Luke wasn't too sure about the Pats jersey. He was MUCH more into the Bengals one he got later that morning from Uncle Dave. Not too much time to play with toys, we were off to Stow for Christmas at The Parent's house!
