AJ -my friend!!!

I want to give a quick shout out to my big sister Ashley Joan. She is REAL under the radar. So much so in fact that I did not even know of her until months after I arrived. Marley is quite a force and demands much attention but Ashley Joan is a very sweet girl and she doesn't steal my binky! Here we are having some one on one time. Where is Marley....school(doggie daycare!)

Ready Set...Sleep!!

I went to the cape this past weekend to visit Mimi and watch Dad run the Falmouth Road Race. We had lots of fun. Uncle John, Chrissie, Aunt Kel and Uncle Scott, my cousins and Nana came too! I was so excited to see everyone run that I went down for an early nap. I must have been tired from all the excitement b/c I slept for 2 hours (unheard of for me) and missed the whole race (oops! Sorry Dad...maybe next year I can watch)

I still had fun hanging out with "the people" and catching some rays!!

Sitting Pretty for the Camera

Here I am…one of the first known pictures…sitting all on my own!! After weeks of making Mom and Dad believe I may go off to college still unable to sit on my own, I surprised them all.

I do however, still prefer to lay on my belly and play….less chance of tipping over 

New Addition!!!

Don’t worry…we weren’t ignorant enough to get another dog BUT Marley and Ashley Joan now have a little cousin Parker (yet to be middle named) Minerella. It’s he a doll!!! Ashley was pretty much all set with him and just looked at me like “you have got to be kidding. If this one stays around TOO, I’m leaving!” Marley on the other hand couldn’t have been happier to have a new friend. Marley has never met a dog (or person) he doesn’t like. Parker is such a good boy. Welcome to the family!!!

Summer Fun!!

I went to a BBQ at my good friend Jackson’s house last weekend. Brought Mom and Dad along…ya know b/c I needed a driver. Jackson is only 8 days older than me but can sit on his own and has 2 teeth. Mom and Dad had to explain why I’m still toothless and laying on my belly. Yikes...I'm already behind :)

My summer has been so busy I haven’t had a lot of time to write my updates. Things are going well. I’m happy to report that I’m now able to sit on my own…I’m getting to be such a big boy! I’m also showing signs of crawling although I think I’m a while from actually getting anywhere. No teeth yet but I drool like crazy. Mom and Dad think they will come soon. Me too, I’m tired of them sticking their fingers in my mouth!!

I’ve become quite the pool boy this month (although Mom puts this 50+ sun block on me so you wouldn’t know it – I’m still a good pasty white color). Love the water!! Mom wants to get me in some baby swim lessons this fall. Me too! I’ll be diving in the deep end in no time 

I'm 1/2 a year old today!!!!

We can’t believe it, little Luke is 6 months old. How time files. Lots going on for baby Luke. He had his checkup and is growing like a weed. 19lbs 4oz. (75 percentile) and 29” long (95 percentile). He is officially starting all his solids. We’ve worked our way through cereals and fruits….starting veggies and meats and some fun finger foods soon! We’ve introduced the sippy cup. He doesn’t know what to do with it but we’ll keep trying. This weekend he will be transitioning from his infant carrier to his big boy convertible car seat. Lots of changes….Such a BIG BOY!!!

Beach Baby....

Last weekend I went to the cape to visit Mimi. I had lots of fun!! We went to the beach with cousin Madison and Chase on Saturday. I tested the waters a bit but quickly decided I’m not a ocean kind of guy…not this year anyway. However, I did enjoy lounging/napping on the beach for the remainder of the afternoon.

Sunday I thought I’d try the pool out for size instead. I met my friend Will there. We had fun. He showed me how fun playing in the water can be!! I think I’m really going to like this swimming thing.

I had my first photo shoot a few weeks ago. I was all smiles in the beginning but just to keep things interesting I started to get crabby half way through, refusing to play on my belly, fun stuff like that.
