Luke's First Year of Football -
Luke finished his first year of mites (I team) Pop Werner football in Holliston with a record of 5-3. Luke has been wanting to play football for a while now. He really liked it. It was definitely a time commitment. During the month of August, Luke had 4 practices a week. Once school started it went down to 3 practices a week & game on Sunday. They also had a pep rally, 2 weigh-ins, 4 team dinners, end of the year party and trophy ceremony. Needless to say, we were busy this fall but it was so fun watching his games every week.
At this age they play offence and defense. Luke was on the O line and a defense tackle. He played on special teams a couple games too. The team was made up of 2-4th graders. I think Luke is excited to be one of the older kids next year. Definitely mom's most fun sport to watch Luke play.
Here are some pics throughout the season....

Second Tooth -
Luke lost his second tooth yesterday before school. Just like with his first tooth, he wanted NO part of having the tooth fairy in his room so he again wrote her a note and left it on the stairs. This time he wrote:
"HI, from Luke. Hi again, what do you do with teeth?????"
This time she left him a $2 dollar bill.

Halloween -
We were very excited to spend Halloween in our new neighborhood. After living in Padanaram where Halloween was like Grand Central Station, it seemed pretty quiet here on RMD but it was probably more normal. We had about 50 kids.
We got together with a few of the neighbors for pizza at our house beforehand.
Paige also had a little kindergarten parade at school earlier in the day which was very cute. Her class also sang a few songs. I had no idea what they were saying (all in French) but looked cute.
This year we had an army man, a colorful witch & a baby owl :)

Paige - Gymnastics
Paige started gymnastics this fall. We were pleasantly surprised to see that three of her friends from French class were in her class including her good friend Adriana from the neighborhood.
Paige is a good little gymnast. So much so that the other mom's have commented to me about how good Paige is. They were surprised that this is her first class.
Who knows if she will stick with it but she is enjoying it for now!

Paige'isms
Paige has always said the silliest things. We are so used to it now a days no one really bats an eye. One of the funny things she does is mispronounces words. She does this all the time. Here are a few that I can remember:
Paige's word real word
school carrot card school care card
balance bean balance beam
lip sing lip sync
Justin Beaver Justin Bieber
Muggs Uggs
Egola Ebola
fling shot sling shot
Papa Gina's Papa Gino's
Fireplace health Fireplace hearth
When I was putting Paige to bed one night she said she was going to pray before bed. I asked her what she prays about. She said, "I just pray that no one dies tomorrow. You know like you, me, Luke, Daddy, Ali, Marley. Someone COULD die tomorrow. You never know!" (this said in a very cheery and proud voice like she is saving lives with her prayers)
