Luke said that WHEN he is president he will reverse the weekends and weekdays so that the weekends are five days and the weekdays are only two days.

Luke also said that if he was a second grade teacher he would just let the kids play for five hours a day.  Sometimes while they were playing he would teach them animal facts.  But there would be no math, reading or any of that other nonsense.

Mommy: "Nope, I was born in Ohio, where grandma and grandpa live."
Paige: "Ohhh, do you speak Ohioian then?"
Luke: "NO PAIGE!  Ohio is in America and everyone in America speaks like us!"

Marathon Monday!!!

Keeping with tradition and since daddy gets patriots day off work (and mommy doesn't), daddy took the kids to the watch the marathon today.  Perfect weather for a day outside. The kids loved it, although they did miss Chrissie as she finished her first marathon today!!  

Luckily there was no drama this year but Jay did say there was visibility more security on the route.

Happy Easter!!!!

The EB changed things up this year and made the kids do a scavenger hunt to find their baskets.  They are so used to seeing their baskets on the kitchen table when they come down in the morning that they missed the envelope on the table and came running up very upset that the Easter Bunny hadn't come.  After the third trip downstairs, Luke finally found the note.  When he opened it and read it, he realized it was time to hunt!

The kids found a snake in the yard tonight. Daddy thought it would be a good idea to pick it up.  I'm still creeped out by the whole thing.

Paige got strawberries out of the fridge, washed them and before I knew it, ate the entire package.  She said, "but I left three???"

Estr Parte

Luke decided that he was going to have an Easter party in his bedroom. He filled plastic eggs with all kinds of little things he found around the house.  He then told his friends one random Tuesday that his Easter party would be that night, 8PM in his bedroom.  His friends were all in and asking their parents if they could come.  I was then left to un-invite everyone and tell the mothers that there would be no such party at 8PM and don't send your kids over.  Luke even made a sign so everyone knew where to go.

We have been very busy around here getting ready for Easter.

All about Daddy -

Luke recently had a unit in school on presidents.  He did a page on Obama and then a page on who he thinks should be president.  Very cute -

 

Paige had a Daddy day through school one night a couple weeks ago.  I clearly wasn't invited to daddy night but heard they sang songs and made sundaes from the ice cream bar and the teachers read each of the kids page about their daddy.  Here is Paige's.  She also drew a picture of her and daddy and made him a paper tie.  Lucky daddy!!!
