This is what we do when we want to suck our thumb but don't want anyone to see.  Yes, he is in there...

Paige was playing with one of her play rings the other day.  She lost it.  She said (with her hand on her hip I'm sure), "Mommy, you find it because I lost it!"  Apparently, she likes to keep things very even!

Whenever we get Luke dressed up to go somewhere nice, he says "Mommy, why do I have to look handsome today?"

Happy Earth Day!

We are trying to do our part this year by starting our very own garden.  The kids are really into it!  Luke and Daddy have been hard at work getting it started.  We've had such warm weather but I'm worried about the frost warning the next few nights.  Hope our little plants can survive!
If all goes well, we'll be munching on tomatoes, peas, 3 types of lettuce, squash, broccoli and basil.

Signs of Spring...

Two great things about this weekend:
1) The weather was fantastic! mid 70s and sunny! Couldn't ask for more on a mid April weekend.
2) We had NO plans. We savor these weekends because we are usually running around all weekend long. Looking at the calendar and seeing two empty days is heavenly!

Lunch outside BOTH DAYS! YEAH!!!

Then it was off to work putting up the new fence in the back. This is the "keep Marley away from the arborvitaes" fence.

Then it was time for some playtime!

Stay tuned for more on our new garden. Stage one, get the structure and soil in...

World Day

Today was world day at St. Phil's. Luckily, I was able to make it because parents were invited to attend. They have been learning all about 4 countries: Ireland, Cayman Islands, China and Africa.

Luke, of course, has been loving this. He especially likes talking about what animals can be found in each of these places. The kids were able to dress up. Good think Uncle Scott and Auntie Kelly went to the Cayman's and brought back these cool t-shirts because I had no idea what we were going to do.

The kids each got passports and got them stamped at each country's craft station. It was very cute. They then had a lunch filled with food from these countries. We brought fortune cookies (store bought and very well received) and grapes (green - Ireland..a stretch I know)

Hop Hop!!

The EB managed to find our house again this year. He did not disappoint! Lots of negotiating on how much chocolate they could have before 9am but we worked it out. The kids were most excited to go to chase-n-madison's and play with their cousins for the day!

All dressed up. Love this picture.

The night before. Luke made a picture for Mr. Bunny. In addition to the usual carrots, he thought it best to give him a cheese stick - protein for the long night ahead I guess.

He came!

Ready to leave for the party -

All dressed up -

Opening our baskets from G&G...

Paige is singing a made up Christmas song to the tune of Puff the Magic Dragon. If you listen close you can hear.

I promise we did not feed her speed before taking this video however you would never know...maybe she got into the candy stash!

Remember that movie from the 80s Three Men and a Baby and how there was an image of a little boy in the window during one of the scenes. It appears the same thing has happened during this video. An unidentified half naked boy appears halfway through...very strange...

Basketball Man -

Today we had the buffet and awards ceremony for Luke's basketball team (Coached by daddy!)
It was very cute. They got a certificate and trophy (Luke's first). He is very proud of it and put it right in his room on his dresser. He has made a couple of buddies from his team and was only interested in sitting at the "team" table during the lunch.
Daddy did a great job coaching too. As we walked out, one little boy said "Coach Jay are you going to be my coach for Tball too?"
Oddly enough...Jay signed Luke up for Tball and is probably going to coach!
Congrats to Luke and Daddy for a fun season!
