Visit to the Farm -

We went to Papa's farm for the weekend. This is the first time we've been there since the horses arrived. The kids had a blast "helping" around the farm and seeing the horses up close and personal. It was very cool to come downstairs in our PJs and walk right into the barn to say good morning to the horses. I think the kids liked nugget the best. Paige kept yelling "HI NUGGET", maybe because he is a different color? Marley didn't know quite what to make of the horses at first but he was loving the farm too as always!

Trip to Silverbook Farm -

We took a trip to Silverbook farm last weekend with Grandma and Grandpa. We attempted to go apple picking but apparently there are no apples left in the southcoast, so we opted for pumpkin picking, farm animals and hayrides instead. It was a cute little farm and very clean. The kids loved it.

Birthday Hat Candy

Yesterday, Luke and I put up the Halloween decorations. One of the little bears was holding a candy corn. Luke asked if that was a type of a candy, wanted to know what it was called and asked if we could get some at the grocery.

Today, Grandma and Grandpa just left for the grocery. Luke says to me, "are they going to get me some of the...the one candies that I want...the birthday hat candies"

Santa_Clause@yahoo.com

The other day, I needed to get ready for a girls night out. Jay was at work and I had both kids. I rarely attempt to shower and get ready with the two of them toddling around the house but had no choice that day. This is what I came out of the shower to see in our closet. They each got time outs - completely unfazed. Then I told them that I was going to tell daddy when he got home and he would be very disappointed - still unfazed. I then went downstairs and got the camera. I took a picture of the mess.

Luke said. "mommy, what are you doing?"

In a moment of pure genius, I said "I need a picture to send with the email I'm writing Santa."

Then things got serious.

Luke started pacing the room, "Why are you sending it to Santa"

I calmly explained that Santa needed to know what was going on, the GOOD and the BAD. He needs to know how many toys to make and bring you for Christmas.

This did not go over well. Luke starting talking fast. First he tried the 'I'll throw my sister under the bus' tactic by saying "but Paigey did most of it"

When that didn't work, he said "but I can clean it up mommy, you don't have to tell Santa"

Counting...

Paige can count to 10. She love to do it too. She understands multiples. When there is more of something, she starts saying in a fast voice "1,2,3,5" in any rough combination of the numbers while pointing to her subject. She gets very proud that she gets this and other things as she figures this world of hers out!
