Two of a Kind..

Playing on the Porch -

The house we rented has a screened in back porch. We didn't think much of it when we booked the place but it has become the FAVORITE room for the kids to play. We SO wish we had one of these back home. They love to throw the beach balls around, play in the coolers, run around, and even eat ice cream. First thing in the morning and last call at night is usually on the porch. The ONE problem we ran into with this room is that apparently Luke thinks it is more outside than in because we caught him peeing right on the wood floor...Poor Cooper and Brandt were horrified.

Trip to Charleston -

On day two, we headed to Charleston for the day. It is about 45 min from Kaiwah, where we were staying. I managed to lose my camera for the majority of the day but luckily did get it back before we left so don't have any good pics of the beautiful city. We took a horsedrawn carriage ride around the historic city area. It was VERY cute and the kids loved it. We walked through the open markets and finished the day by having seafood at a resturant there in the city. A really fun day, the kids were DONE by the end of the day. No naps all day and lots of excitment. They were all very good all day :)

First Romp at the Beach -

We made our maiden trip to the beach on the first afternoon of our week stay. The kids loved it...a little too much! We made the mistake of taking them in their clothes. Luke was "ALL IN". Paige wasn't doing much better. We quickly learned that we will stick to all bathing suits at the beach, no matter the time of day.

Our BIKE week -

Our main way to get around the island during the week was our rented bikes and trailer. The kids loved it!! We biked to the beach, dinner, pool, park, you name it! The guys called them "the hogs", "the rickshaws", and many others...

Trip to Kaiwah Island -

Today we left for Kaiwah to meet our friends The Hazards for a fun week of sun, beach, relaxing and lots and lots of ice cream!!

We had a great trip down. Luke was GREAT on the plane. Paige was "perpetual motion" as the lady in back of us put it. She was making friends all over the place.

They both had a great time with all the "excitment" of the airplane ride :)

Mother's Day celebration at school

Today was our Mother's Day brunch at the circle school. Mommy, Nana and Mimi came (and Paige). We sang some songs outside before going in for a very nice brunch. I've been praticing my songs all week at home. I did get a little too excited when I saw Jacob - see the wrestling picture - but after Miss Scarlett seperated us, everything was good! I only ran to mommy once and I even sang and did the hand movements. Thanks Mimi and Nana for coming to my school :) HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

Who loves music already...

It's Soccer Time!!

FINALLY these parents of mine enroll me in some organized sports. I started soccer at the YMCA this weekend. I'm real excited. Daddy went out and bought me all the gear. A couple of my friends are on my team, including Jacob. Dad took me to my first practice. I did awesome...except for the time I was supposed to dribble the ball down the field and shoot in the goal and decided to sit down and play with my shin guards right before I was supposed to shoot in the goal. There was also the fact that one of the mom's brought donuts. I was WAY more interested in the donuts and refused to play in the little game at the end because I wanted my donut. All in all, a great first practice.

Jacob's House..

Last weekend, I went to my friend Jacob's house to play. To my surprise, his daddy brought home a HUGE toy for us to play in. Check us out...




While Jacob and I played with the big toys, Paige-y and Caleb sat and watched us on the porch and played on the swings. I think Caleb was pretty much humoring Paige because he much prefers to play with the big boys.
