Dancin' with Chase N Madison -

this is a couple weekends old, but this is what it looks like when we have all the kids for the weekend...

DUCKIE...

Paige is OBSESSED with duckie's. He favorite is a little yellow duckie but she will seek out just about any duck she can find and yell "DUCKIE". It is very cute. She also points out Doggies and Bunnies.

Introducing Blue Jr.

Due to Blue the First's untimely death, we were forced with the difficult (mostly because we had to get one that looked “just right”) task of replacing him…and fast…before the kids got home from their weekend with their cousins. I’m sure the parenting 101 books say that you should embrace this opportunity to teach your kids about death. We chose the lazy route of replacing him and keeping everything status quo in the Peabody household. Luke, if you’re reading this when you are older, sorry buddy, we didn’t want to have to go there with you yet. Mission accomplished! Luke will be none the wiser when he gets home tonight. Welcome Blue Jr. to the house….

RIP Blue. You were a good fish. What we appreciated most about Blue was his timing. Thank you Blue for choosing the one weekend our kids were away to kick the bucket. For that we will be forever grateful. It gave us just enough time to replace you with another just similar enough looking fish before the kids got home. We’ll miss you Blue the First.

First trip to the Dentist...

Luke had his first trip to the dentist this week. He was such a good boy, such a big boy. I told him on the way there what to expect and that if he was a good boy he would get a special toy at the end. He was very interested in this. When he sat down, the first thing he said to the hygienist was "where is my special toy?" She did a great job explaining to him what they were going to do and explained each instrument to him. She made the mistake of telling him that he would get to pick out a toothbrush at the end. He immediately says, "Can I have a Diego toothbrush?" We'll work on manners for the next visit.
He did a great job, opened his mouth real wide and sat nice for them. He got to pick out his flavored cleaner and before we knew it, he was done! I think it took longer for him to pick out which toy he wanted at the end of the visit than for them to clean his teeth. We were in the waiting room at the end of the visit, I was putting on his coat and he said. "Mommy, we have fun at the dentist!" The receptionist got a kick out of that. I'm assuming they don't hear that often :)

Air (Weather) Bear

Luke got to bring home Air Bear from school this weekend. He travels home to one of the children's houses each weekend and you document his journey in his book, along with pictures. Luke was VERY excited to have Air Bear this weekend but he keeps calling him Weather Bear who is Air Bear's sidekick but who didn't actually make the trip home with us...regardless, Mr. Bear picked a great weekend to come home for a visit with Luke. Lots of fun things going on for Mr. Bear to take part in. The first thing Luke did with him was to make him something to eat. Apparently Mr Bear is a very picky eater because Luke was very specific on what he could and couldn't have. He then rifled through the bag that came with Mr. Bear to find an appropiate outfit for him. Luke was thrilled to find his backpack! So they both wore their backpacks around the house. Mr. Bear is lucky enough to have made the trip to Stow to stay with Luke and Paige as they visit their cousins this weekend.

Spring has Sprung!!

Finally some nice weather so we can get outside and dust the cobwebs off. We've been spending a lot of time outside this year so far. The bike, the swing set. etc.. We're going to have a real outside kind of year I can feel it. Playing chalk is another fan favorite around the yard. Luke also starts munchkin soccer in April, how cute. Stay tuned for pics of that.

Our bulkhead is a favorite gathering place, maybe because our yard is the size of a postage stamp, especially now that the swingset is here -

New Swing Set!!!

My new swing set is finally here. After being told all winter that I was being jipped out of presents from birthday and christmas in order to save for the swing set, it is finally here. I watched out the window ALL day as they put it together. I couldn't wait to get out there. Finally they were done! I was sure to tell Paige that this was "MY" swing set but she snuck her way on, which I guess is OK because 3 people can be on my swings at once. I was so exicted to show my frend Jacob too. We are going to be on it all summer long!
The best part is that we are "keepin' up with the Jones", check out the other side of the fence..HA!

New Bike!!

I got my first brand new big boy bike this past weekend. It is awesome! Mommy, Paige and I went to the store to pick it out. I even got to pick out my helmet. I don't exactly know how to peddle yet BUT we are working on that. Daddy took me out and is teaching me how to ride. I've almost got it. Sometimes I get distracted when we are out there and want to look at the squirels and such but I'm really going to learn because mommy says when I can peddle, I can ride all the way to Jacob's house!!
