NH Favorite Activities -

We were able to do some of our favorite things when up in NH.  Like...

Play in Papa's pond -
Have a campfire and roast marshmallows -
Look for and try to catch frogs -
 More roasting and eating -
 Sugar high kicking in -
Time for a proper dinner.  Paige helped with the salad -
 Swimming in Lake Winnipesaukee -

Cape Sleepover -

We have friends that live on the cape so we squeezed in an overnight last night.  Mommy, being rundown at work, decided to take a day off work and decompress.  It was a lot of fun.  Luke and Paige had a blast.  They were so excited to have a sleepover with their two little friends.

View from the deck in the back.  It was really breathtaking!
I didn't want to leave this deck!
But...Off to the yacht club for some beach fun -
 Who's the lifeguard -
Catching crabs, or fish, or anything in between -
 Cute little swimming area -

Craft Time!

We got bored one rainy Wednesday and decided to head over to AC Moore for some crafts.  They each got to pick out their own containers and craft items.  Lots of fun.  Mom is hoping this will occupy them hours and hours worth of time.

Fun Boat/Beach Day!

We went out on the boat with our friends this past weekend.  The kids LOVE this, it is one of their favorite summertime activities.  It helps that they are bestest friends with the kids.  No pictures but the kids also went tubing.  Every year, Luke gets a little more brave on the tube.

Fenway!!

Jay and I escaped on a Sunday morning for an all day date.  Through a silent auction, we won VIP tour of the stadium, trip to the field before the game and tickets to the game.  Lots of fun.  Very hot but lucky for us, we were in the shade.

"Can I take your order"

Paige LOVES to play waitress.  When she wants to play, she walks up and says, "What kind of pizza do you want?"  Jay and I get a kick out of how she plays this game.  Here is about how it goes:

Paige: What kind of pizza do you want?
Mom: I'll have a cheese pizza and a lemonade.
Paige: We don't have pizza and we don't have lemonade but we have lemon water and we have rainbow water and we have orange juice and we have blue or pink or yellow straws.
Mom: OK, I'll have a lemon water.
Paige: With a blue straw because that is your favorite color.  What else do you want to have?
Mom: I'll have some chicken and fries, do you have that?
Paige: Um, yes we have that.  (she walks away and comes back some time later)
Paige: Here you go!  Here is your rainbow water and a pink straw because pink is for girls.
Mom: I asked for lemon water and a blue straw.
Paige: (exaggeratedly) Oh mom! (then ignores my request)
Paige: (some time later) Here is your hot dog!
Mom: I didn't order a hot dog.  I ordered chicken and fries.
Paige: We don't have fries but we do have hot dogs.
Paige: What else do you want to order?  What do you want for dessert?
Mom: Ice cream.
Paige: No mom, we don't have ice cream.  We have cookies only.  Do you want to have a cookie?
Mom: Yes.
Paige: But you can't have one because you didn't eat your chicken.

Paigeisms

"I can't hear you mom, I have my ear-folks on.  Just like the ear-folks you wear on the treadmill, mom"

"Are they lawning our yard outside" - as our lawn is being cut.

In the car and she is hot, "Put the windows downer mom!  More downer!"

While riding bikes around the neighborhood the other day, "When I ring the doorbell on my bike that means I need something or to get out of the way or I want to show you something."

Sailing...

Today, Luke finished 2 weeks of sailing camp at the NBYC (New Bedford Yacht Club) right down the street from us in the center of the village.

He loved it!  From day one, he was so excited to go every day.  By the end of week one, he was using "sailor speak".  One of the days it was rainy so they played games and taught the kids all the terminology.  He officially knows more than I do about sailing.

Here are some pics the instructors sent.  All college kids run the program.  Spending your days on the water...not a bad camp to go to!!!

The last day with ALL the classes.

AARRRRRHHHH....

Thursday was pirate day at sailing camp.  The kids were to dress up, the camp was decked in pirate themed decorations, the instructors planned a treasure hunt and a lot more!  So we got our pirate gear ready and promptly got a fever and couldn't make it to pirate day :(  BUT we did get pictures in our cool costume.  Poor Luke...but he was back in action on Friday for his last day of camp.

Pit Stop -

On our way home from Ohio we stopped off in Hershey, PA to visit our friends.  We always have a great time and this visit was no different, except that we were lucky enough to have the Baldwin's join the gang (a girl for Paige to hang out with!!).  The kids get so excited to see Cooper and Brandt since they are all now good buds...vacation buddies!

Looks like Paige has had enough of the car -

Finally there, havin' bfast with our friends -

Then it was off to the lake to combat the heat that followed up from Ohio to PA.  Paige and Brandt were too cute holding hands -
Equally as good of friends, but not as touchy feely as Ms. Paige and Mr. Brandt.  Cooper let Luke bring his "big bag of snakes" so Luke was SUPER excited to put them to good use in the lake -
Jay enjoyed doing flips off the floating dock...with all the 20 somethings -
 Snack break -
Still holding hands on the way out, we gotta watch these two -
Post dinner wind down and rehash -
