Ohio...

We had another fun trip to Ohio for the July 4th week.  Very hot but it didn't seem to slow the kids down too much.  We managed it well with lots of water time!!

Fishing at the pond.  Didn't last long, too hot and not enough biting for the kids to keep interest...

Lots of visitors that week.  My cousin came on Sunday with his three kids. Paige was loving having girls to hang out with for the day.  We broke out the slip n slide and the sprinkle which became staples the whole week...

Girls dancing for us all...

We headed to the Columbus Zoo first chance we got. The kids (especially Luke, our animal lover) always look forward to it...

Our first time at the Gahanna 4th of July parade. LOTS of candy, which Luke loved....

Jay - playing the part of the Midwest dad, very well I may add....
Kids didn't sleep together by design but often ended up together...
 Grandpa and Paige....

To get out of the heat, we went to COSI one day - the children's science museum in downtown Columbus.  Another fav for the kids...
 I-MAX....3D!
 Water fun!

Learned all about the animals and got to touch some...
Creekside for bfast on our last day and feeding the ducks...

Lots of time at the pool.  Kids LOVED it.  Didn't understand the concept of "adult swim" every hour on the hour but soon caught on.  Gotta learn the rules of the swim clubs kids....

Be My Little Baby Bumblebee...

It is finally time for the pinnacle of the ballet year. Every Saturday from September until now, we've been working on our ballet skills and more importantly, our recital dance. Paige did "Be My Little Baby Bumblebee" by Dorris Day.  She loves everything about ballet.  She thinks she is ripe for the Nutcracker the way she dances around the house.  Too cute!

Here she is, last day of class and her (upside down) certificate.  So proud!

Waiting for stage time!

One happy bumblebee!

 A swarm of coloring bumblebees!

Paige's friend Grace.  She dances next to Paige on stage.  Paige looks up to her and literally just copies what Grace is doing.  Good thing Grace knows what she is doing!

 Costumes are so cute!

Paige was very lucky to have Mimi, Auntie Kelly, cousin Madison, Daddy, Luke and Angie all come to watch her perform.

ANOTHER year end celebration!!

Paige had her end of the year celebration on Friday.  This one I WAS able to attend...woo hoo!  Her preschool does some songs, a little play and a picture slide show.  We know the drill as this is our third one.  This year the play was based on the book Skippyjon Jones which the kids have actually had for a couple years and love.

Impromptu Photo Shoot

Today, the kids and I headed to the playground.  But before doing so, we stopped and threw rocks in the water across the bridge.  It is a beautiful place...nice for a couple pics of the kids playing.

Always posing...

Not sure what the hands on the face thing is, Paige...

Yes, that is a beer can in his hand.  No, he wasn't drinking but this might very well be the scene in 12 years as it looks like it is the place to go to underage drink....

Tryin' to get a good one, not really succeeding...

SWIMMING...

Just some pictures of summer swimming fun.  The kids absolutely LOVE to swim.  I have to peel them out of the pool (and that is after 5 hours...literally).  Since our neighbors got a pool, Luke says "Mommy, we could have a pool too.  Our yard IS big enough"     WRONG!
