T-Ball -

This past Sunday was the last week of T-Ball for Luke. Same as the Soccer program, it was through the YMCA here in Dartmouth. They got the cute little t-shirts and did the best they could to stay with it for the hour long class. Luke seemed to like T-Ball. Loved to hit and, like most the others, got bored fielding balls when it wasn’t his turn to hit. The best was the way-to-big helmet they had to wear. Luke has a mini-head already. Poor guy couldn’t see a thing.
We’re on to swimming for our next activity….

Luke came home from school today and was SO EXCITED to see Paige. SO CUTE! They are always looking for each other. If I show up at school without Paige (ie. Angie is here) Luke immediately asks “Where is Paigey??” And always wants to wake her up from her nap when he gets bored and needs someone to play with. And Paige buys right into his program. He is always asking her to do things. He’ll say “Paige, come over here so I can tie this to you” OR “Paige, I was playing with that toy too” OR “I’ll have some of your cookie too, Paigey” She always answers with the head bob and her “YEEAAAHHHH”
I’m sure the dynamic will change over time, but for now…it is real cute!

HALLOWEEN!!!

This year we hosted the neighborhood Halloween party. I counted afterwards. We had 48 people at the house. Over half of them were kids, just to set the stage. It was a wild hour or so before the trick-r-treating started. We kept it simple, pizza!

The kids loved trick-r-treating this year. Luke was of course trick-r-treating with Jacob. Paige did a pretty good job too. It got cold when the sun went down. Her little hands were getting so cold so we (Paige and Mommy) packed it in early. We went back to the house and handed out candy for the next hour or so until Luke and Daddy got back.

Paige is OBSESSED with lollipops! She digs through her bucket until she finds one and says, "Mommy open it!" After the 4th or 5th, when I started refusing to support the habit, she just started sucking them with the paper on. She also used the tactic with M&Ms, Skittles, pretty much anything else she could find. She would tear it open with her teeth - kind of like a dog - and get the goodies. Even when we got back home and were handing candy out, she was sneaking candy from our outgoing bowl.

Needless to say, both kids were a bit wild until we got them to wind down a bit. Everyone is tired today!

Friendly's and Boo at the Zoo -

Saturday night we got the kids all dressed up in their costumes for Boo at the Zoo. We went to Friendly's beforehand with Jacob's family, which Luke LOVED! Any activity with Jacob makes it that much more fun. The kids ate free because they had their costumes on. It was our kids first time at Friendly's believe it or not.

The zoo was fun too! There will 1/2 a million people there but the kids didn't seem to mind. They had it all decorated and were handing out candy at different stations.

New Age Jack-O's

Our friends gave us these pumpkin faces. Super cute and the kids loved making their very alternative Jack-O-Lanterns this year...I intended to do the traditional as well but we didn't have time carve so it worked out.

My Very Own Bank Account

I took Luke to open his very own bank account today. A friend told me about a program at one of the local banks for kids. We took in all the dollars that Luke had received from holiday cards, mostly from Mimi and Nana. I had been saving them in an envelope for him. $60!! Not bad for a 3year old. He got a stuffed animal and his very own passport savings book to track his deposits. Every time he goes into the bank to make a deposit, he gets to pick out a to from the treasure chest. Not a bad deal. He loves the idea that this is HIS bank (different then the bank we usually go to). Cute little program....

I'm waiting to open Paige an account until she is a bit older and can understand the concept. She did manage to get a stuffed animal out of the deal.

Luke's Halloween Party at School -

Luke had his Halloween party at school today. So cute, all the kids all dressed up. They did a couple of songs then had a little party in his classroom.

Paige kept yelling "WHERE SPIDEY?!?" before they came out.

Looks like someone else in interestd in being Spiderman -

Paigey Too?!?

Today was Luke’s Halloween party at school. He was VERY excited to wear his costume (pictures coming soon). He was so excited for school and the Halloween party they were going to have.
Luke: “Mommy, can Paige come with me to school today?”
Mommy: “Yeah, we are all coming and going to watch your Halloween parade, Daddy, Paige and Me!”
Luke: “No Mommy, you leave Paige with me when you leave. She can spend the day at school with me”
I thought this was VERY cute, he wanted his little sister to stay with him for the day.
Luke: “I can show my friends Paigey”
Mommy: “She can’t stay at school honey; she needs to have her nap”
Luke: “How about she can come to school with me and have her nap when we get home. Is that a good idea, Mommy?”
It was all too cute. I hope they always want to spend time together 
