To the little people of 53 Chestnut Street –

I was concerned when Mom left the house with the two of you in tow yesterday and returned without you. I wondered where you could have gone!?! I soon forgot my worries when mom said the “W” word. I was so excited and confused….”ME!! Someone wants to go on a walk with just me. No double stroller in tow. No trip to the playground and I tag along. This was a walk for ONLY ME!” I couldn’t contain my excitement. Once we got going on our run/walk, the surprises continued as Mom took me to the new little pet boutique, Fetch, and told me I could pick out anything in the store!! WOWSERS!!! I don’t think I was ever in a store before and to shop, I really didn’t know what to do with myself. The owner was giving me treats and took a picture of me for the pet board. I picked out my very own Christmas stocking AND some treats. I thought I’d died and gone to heaven. the weekend continued to get better as mom and dad paid AMPLE attention to me. Petted me, talked to me, played with me...On Sunday morning, mom played ball with me in the backyard. It was awesome!!

My reason for starting this letter was to say that although you do bring a type of energy to the house, I think it is best that you probably find another home. I like having mom and dad to myself. I get much more attention when I’m the only child at home.

BUT then…things started to get a bit lonely and by Sunday afternoon I was pretty bored without my wing-man and baby. Please come home soon….I miss you guys :)
Love, Marley

There is a Mullet amoung us!!

Mullet: The mullet is a hairstyle that is short at the front and sides, and long in the back. Widely panned as a lowbrow and unappealing hairstyle, and facetiously referred to as "business up front, party out back,".

Paige is sportin' quite the Mullet these days. Check her out...

Short and tidy in the front -

Long and wild in the back -

Paige-y LOVES her Mullet. We decided that until she looks like this, we'll let her keep it :)

Polar Express Night

Luke's school had a little Polar Express holiday party Thursday night at the village Fire Station. Miss Scarlett read the Polar Express book while the kids had cookies and juice. After, Santa came and gave the kids little gift bags (Paige also managed to sneak in a couple secs with the big guy!) Luke told Santa AGAIN what he wanted this year. The kids also got to take a ride in an old school fire truck..FUN FUN!!

Gingerbread Time!!!

Luke and I made our first annual gingerbread house this week. Luke was VERY excited about the idea of decorating the house. He lasted 3.6 seconds before he lost interest AND he ate more candies then he actually put on the house. BUT it was a good time none the less. Every morning since he has been asking "Can I eat my gingerbread house, Mommy!"

Christmas Fun at Wilson Farms!!

This was the fun day that would not stop! After my party, we met up with Mimi and my cousins for some fun at Wilson Farm. They had cookie decorating, ornament making, candy eating (I kind of made that one up) and all sorts of other fun things. AND the big man himself also made an appearance. Santa was walking around handing out candy. I was able to slip it to him that I wanted cars and a rocket ship. I already told him in Hershey BUT that was a couple weeks ago…he might have forgotten by now.

Christmas Party –

After digging through their stockings on Sunday, we all got dressed and went to a Christmas party for Luke and friends! We do a swap gift so everyone had something to open, even the babies this time…

Little Paige, opening her gift -

We “tried” to do the couch picture BUT Luke was even more evasive than usual, not sitting for more than 3 seconds before he jumped ship. I am happy to report that at least I do have one child that will sit nice for a picture. Little Paige was loving the picture session.

A single picture taken before Luke escapes -

This is typical, Luke "wild man" Peabody as the other original 4 members of the group look on in horror -

That's OK, we'll fill his seat with another Peabody and looks like baby Olivia (Will's little sister) made this picture -

SAINT NICK’S DAY!!!

Sunday morning was Saint Nick’s Day. The kids (and Marley too!) woke up to a stocking full of goodies. Just a taste of what Christmas will be like this year!

Thanksgiving –

On Thanksgiving Day, we went to Cincinnati to spend the rest of the week. The best part about Cincinnati was staying in the hotel. I got to stay in my own BIG BIG bed. I was lovin’ it.

We went to Grandpa’s side of the family. Everyone got to meet Paige and I got to play with the “big kids”

The Saturday after Thanksgiving, we went to downtown Cincinnati to see the Christmas decorations and the trains. Mommy used to do the same thing every year as a kid. We went with my little friend Maria and her sister, Cara.

After all that we were lucky enough to find an ice skating rink in the middle of the city square area. Santa was there too! Daddy was REAL excited to get me on skates for the first time. It was big fun skating with Mommy and Daddy. Daddy said I did real good! I can’t wait to skate again soon!

Trip to Ohio

We spent the week before Thanksgiving in Columbus with Grandma and Grandpa. It was big fun. I think they have more toys then I do at home!! I played toys inside and out all day every day! Paige was lovin’ the toys this trip too!

We also made muffins and cookies, went to the pond to feed the duckies, went to the playground, read books, raked leaves, visited with Uncle Dave, the list goes on!
